In April 2014, Michael Campbell joined Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as the Interim Ethicist. Michael provides consultations regarding challenging clinical cases, assists with policy development and review, conducts ethics education and participates on a number of committees, councils and working groups. He is Co-Chair of the Integrated Ethics Council and he is proud to play a lead role as Ontario Shores implements the National Standard of Canada: Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.
Before arriving at Ontario Shores, Michael worked as a Senior Fellow in the Bioethics program at University Health Network for nearly 3 years. He earned a Master of Health Science degree (2009) and completed a Clinical Fellowship in Bioethics (2010) at the University of Toronto Joint Centre for Bioethics which included rotations at 4 Toronto-area hospitals and community health care organizations. In 2003, Michael graduated from York University with a Specialized Honours degree in Philosophy and a Certificate in Practical Ethics.
